Take a trip very soon to see the new comedy-drama April, May & June which premiered recently at Theatre 40 on campus at Beverly Hills High School. This very enjoyable new production is smoothly directed by Terri Hanauer from a well written script by Gary Goldstein and features 3 terrific actresses – Jennifer Lee Laks as first born sister April, Jennifer Taub as middle sister May and Meredith Thomas as baby sister June – each of these ladies is wonderful in her role and this play is very worthwhile seeing.

Set in Long Island in the somewhat shabby living room of their late parents the 40ish sisters convene to wrap up loose ends of their recently deceased mother’s belongings and along the way make some pretty shocking and unusual discoveries. The well rounded comedy-drama makes you laugh A LOT and also makes you think A LOT – there are many touching and poignant elements in April, May & June. Kudos to writer Gary Goldstein on creating such a great modern piece with three diverse lead female parts for these fine actresses to sink their teeth into and kudos to artistic and managing director David Hunt Stafford for producing it!
